The Barriers Game is a board game I started developing during my Develop Your Creative Practice (DYCP) funding award by Arts Council England.

The aim of the game is to lose. If you can stay at home and still sustain your art career, you've won!

The game has had various designs and I aim to develop the format further including a digital/online game. However, the original text has stayed the same. It aims to illustrate the ludicrous barriers many Sick/Disabled/Caregiver artists face when trying to sustain a career in an ableist art world.
